Michael Delong and Dr. Nirbhay Jain discuss predictors of morbidity
in patients undergoing free flap breast reconstruction, in
particular the utility of the sarcopenia index. Sarcopenia is a
measurement of skeletal muscle mass. Their study suggests
sarcopenia is better at predicting morbidity than age, BMI or the
modified frailty index.
